1. Outline
Measures the amount of reduced wall thickness of piping that contacts the piping frame by using the difference in propagation time of surface waves in the ultrasonic waves.
2. Features
(1) Flaws can be detected without jacking up pipes.
(2) Can be applied to a wide range of pipes, from small to large diameter pipes.
(3) Not affected by internal fluids or accumulated sludge inside the pipe.
(4) The collected data may be visually evaluated by digitalization.

Principle
The propagation distance between the sound section and the corroded section of the surface waves is measured as the propagation time differenceiΔTj, from which the depth is evaluated.
