System for automatic continuous measurement of inner wall reduction of boiler heating tubes (BTI [Boiler Tube Inspection])

1. Outline
This system automatically and continuously measures the decrease in wall thickness from the inside surface of pipes to quantitatively evaluate the decrease in outside surface wall thickness of boiler generating tubes, etc.
2. Features
(1) Measurement is not done by measuring a single point but by measuring the entire surface.
(2) Color mapping is done of the decreased wall thickness condition.
(3) Data is also collected from the bent pipe section.
3. Application

(1) Specifications of target pipe

Inside diameter Φ28.0∼Φ70.0 mm, Length, max. 15 m

(2) Bent pipe section that can be measured for flaws

Minimum bending radius in axial direction: Not less than 305 mm R
(Only for straight pipes when inner diameter is Φ35 mm and less)

(3) Data collecting pitch on piping

Axial direction; 1∼10 mm. Circumferential direction: Max. 120 points

(4) Track record

For boilers in chemical plants, ironworks, oil refining plants, gas manufacturing plants, power stations, paper making plants, beverage plants, etc.
